Aug 12, 19, 26
Nov 11, 18, 25

While Buddhism is classified as a religion, many recognize that the time-honored Buddhist teachings are more about a way of life than a religion. There is no deity in Buddhism, so it can be easily integrated into your life, whether you are practicing another religion or not.

The Buddha's life was all about compassion and looking at ways to decrease suffering in our selves and in the world. The focus on mindfulness, loving kindness, and creating true peace—beginning with ourselves—has made a sweet difference in many people's lives, and can make a difference in our world at large.

Come learn about Buddhist teachings and practices in a relaxed and open environment. Val Stepien has been studying Buddhism for many years and was ordained in Thich Nhat Hanh's lineage (the United Buddhist Church) in 2011.

For inquiries or to register, please contact Val at 720-314-8123.

Deep Listening: The Art of Conscious Communication

Thursday April 11        6:00-8:00pm        Cost: $20 pre-registered, $25 drop-in       to RSVP click here

Communication is one of the most essential aspects of our being. It influences our health, work and relationships. Sometimes our thoughts, words and actions get in the way of what we really want. Our self-talk, old beliefs, assumptions, and negative experiences are just some of the filters that can create blocks in our communication.

Our own unique inner wisdom is available to support us if we listen deeply. Listening to the inner voice and expressing ourselves from that guidance can turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones and create more of what we desire in any area of our lives.

This class will support you in gaining clarity and self awareness to create empowering communication with yourself and others.

The ultimate benefit is that you can move through suffering to joy and experience the delight of touching life more deeply and authentically in all the moments of your life.

With an emphasis on experiential exercises, discussion, and home practice students will learn mindfulness techniques and be able to apply these to their daily lives. Sharing the gifts of transformation and learning from each other in a fun yet deep way proves to be life-changing.

Showing examples of many SoulCollage cards and guiding the participants in their personal exploration, the presenter will illustrate how people are using this process to understand the power and presence of their personality parts, the friends and family in their communities, their physical energies, and the archetypes.
